Fontenay Base (Red)  is ideal for sealing surfaces, and providing a stable working base and undertone prior to gilding.
Ideal for creating the ‘distressed’ look on a new frame.  It also helps to ensure even colours, and to warm up gold metallic tones.
Suitable for use on wood or plaster.
